Western Australian mining magnate Andrew Forrest has purchased a $20 million stake in Tasmanian fish farming giant, Huon Aquaculture. Documents lodged with the ASX late yesterday say Mr Forrest's Tattarang Agrifood purchased a seven-point-three per cent stake in Huon late last week. Huon was badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In February, the company reported a statutory loss of $95 million for the first half of the financial year. Mr Forrest has aquaculture interests in Albany and Carnarvon.

Carnarvon growers are frustrated over delays to flood recovery support which was promised almost four months ago.
